Unit 13 Reading Activities Plus Questions

A Night at the Alley

Coach Sam:
Begin your game at the Lane where every roll counts. Aim to hit each Pin with precision and score a Strike on your first attempt.

Player Jamie:
I worked hard to convert a Spare even after a ball went into the Gutter.

Coach Sam:
Focus on your Backswing and Release—if you understand the effects of Lane oil, you will hit the Pocket perfectly.

Player Jamie:
Sometimes I get a Hook or commit a Foul that leaves a tricky Split to convert.

Coach Sam:
Remember, every Approach and each Frame counts. A well-planned Combo and a good Split conversion can even help you Strike out your competition at the local Alley and boost your Score.
